Customs Service of the Velocity Interoperability Network EstablishedThe Customs Service has been formally established and today launches its official website at customs.gov.vin, where the Common Tariff, travellers' allowances, declaration procedures and the register of customs posts are published.

Customs Posts Open at Nine Points of Entry from 7 SeptemberCustoms officers take up duty at six boundary crossings, two aerodromes and the postal depot between Monday 7 and Tuesday 8 September 2026. Travellers with goods to declare use the red channel; commercial consignments are cleared at Westbrook Freight Gate and Southbank Quay.

Common Tariff and Travellers' Allowances PublishedA single tariff of five bands applies to goods entering the Network from 7 September 2026. Travellers may bring in goods worth up to 600 credits without duty, together with fixed quantities of alcohol and tobacco.

Trader Registration Opens and Six Approved Warehouses DesignatedBusinesses importing or exporting commercial consignments may apply for a Trader Registration Number from today. Six approved warehouses at the Westbrook Distribution Site and Southbank Quay hold goods with duty suspended, and duty deferment accounts open on 1 October 2026.
