Customs Posts Open at Nine Points of Entry from 7 September

The Customs Service of the Velocity Interoperability Network today published the register of its customs posts. Officers of the Service take up duty at nine points of entry between Monday 7 and Tuesday 8 September 2026: Northgate Crossing, Eastfield Road Crossing, Westbrook Road Crossing, Westbrook Freight Gate, Southbank Quay, Meridian Rail Crossing, Central Exchange Aerodrome, Westbrook Cargo Airfield and the Central Exchange Postal Depot. At every passenger post travellers choose between two channels. The green channel is for travellers carrying nothing beyond the personal allowances and nothing that must be declared; the red channel is for travellers with goods to declare, where an officer records the declaration and assesses any duty due. Commercial consignments are cleared at Westbrook Freight Gate and Southbank Quay under the advance declaration arrangements agreed with the Borders Authority, and at Central Exchange Aerodrome and Westbrook Cargo Airfield for goods arriving by air.

Hollowmere Lane Crossing and Ashgrove Crossing have no customs post. Travellers using those crossings who have goods to declare should use Northgate Crossing or Eastfield Road Crossing instead. Questions about the posts may be sent to contact@customs.gov.vin.
